2nd year - animation exercise

In my second year we had to make a stop motion short in group. I have to say that those few weeks were the ones I enjoyed the most. 

2nd year - animation exercise - MAD

We had to choose a music fragment and make an animation to that. This is a fragment from Dave Brubeck's Unsquare Dance. 


I got inspired by this sketch I did, a while before this assignment. My boyfriend was into the game Portal back then, and for some reason the turrets looked like this to me.

For graphic techniques we had to conceptualise a story that was given to us. I chose the one about Snow White who had aged into an old lady, still living with the seven dwarfs. And then: VaVaVaVoom! Little Red Riding Hood shows up, stealing all the sparkle Snow White might have had left. Etc. 

2nd year - scenario concept

For scenario and concept we had to come up with a story and then conceptualise it. My story was based on this small article I'd read the year before, about unmarried islamic couples having been arrested on valentine's day by the islamic morality police. The couples were found in hotels. I liked to think of them being in their own little love bubble, until it gets shot down.
